Substraction process

The method is grounded in the act of balance.

As an initial exercise,

a sequence of renders is produced.            

Each image showing

a new substraction of matter.                        

The process is deliberately pushed

to an extreme point,

in order to include both, the old mansion

and the new Mission, in the implications of each time.

Materiality

A block of Iranian Travertine

carved in order to find the final shape of the project.

To make a face to face with the existing building

in order to establish a dialogue between Cultures.

To attach past and present with the treatment

of the garden and the enclosure

in order to include timeless modernity elements

of Iranian culture.
